Giddy Up 2009!

The New Year is coming and with it a new White House Administration. Am I nervous? Yes. Am I afraid? No.

As a Bush supporter (yes, I did vote for him twice) I am sad to see President Bush leave the White House, but as a Texan I say to him and his lovely wife, "Welcome Home, Ya'll!".

Now the real question...what will this new administration do? I did not vote for Obama, nor do I agree with just about any of his policies or views, but he is now my President. I will not slander him the way the Left did to Bush. There will not be a 'Don't Blame Me, I Voted for McCain" bumper sticker on my car. I will be the typical Christian Conservative and pray for the country, pray for the President, pray for the leaders that guide us. I will be a watchdog, however. I will do my best to help hold these leaders accountable. We are a nation that is to be governed by the people and I will help to ensure that my group is heard. Which means using my outdoor voice occasionally because sometimes it can be hard to be heard over the Left's whining.

Time will tell how Obama handles the reins that are being handed over to him. From what I know of Obama - he is no cowboy. Saddle up folks, its going to be one heck of a ride!
